We are a team of 25+ zealous undergraduate engineers from several disciplines of IIT Delhi working together to empower this world with another mode of transportation technology.
Our team believes in diligence, discipline, hard work, and learning. We are committed to promoting interdisciplinary exchanges of knowledge and ideas. As part of our mission, we intend to develop an autonomous scalable pod and develop new technologies to facilitate the commercialization of the hyperloop system. Currently, we are working in the institute's laboratory. Being the latest addition to the technical clubs of IIT Delhi, we are looking for tech enthusiasts ready to take the hyperloop industry to the next level. We have a team of experienced faculty advisors, and innovative engineers prepared to take transportation technology to new heights.
The European Hyperloop Week is an annual international event dedicated to the ‘transport of the future’, the Hyperloop. This event enables university students, guest speakers, companies, and hyperloop enthusiasts to discuss the technology, feasibility, and scalability of the Hyperloop.
The annual Canadian Hyperloop Conference is dedicated to developing the technologies and policies required for a fully functioning Hyperloop pod and track, by:
Encouraging the development and concrete demonstration of Hyperloop technology by challenging student teams in an annual pod demo - the Canadian Hyperloop Competition.
Developing a sense of community by hosting knowledge-sharing events, research, and industry speakers, and a social media presence appealing to the general public.
To encourage students to contribute to the development of the Hyperloop system proposed by Elon Musk in 2013, in 2015 the aerospace company SpaceX initiated the international “SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition”.
After having set up a 1.2 km long vacuum tube next to their headquarters in Hawthorne, California, SpaceX held four editions of the competition, the last one in July 2019.
EHW or the European Hyperloop Week 2023 is a hyperloop competition that provides an international platform to all Hyperloop teams across the globe to present their pods and their contribution towards this new mode of transportation. Our team, Infinity Hyperloop worked extremely hard for this and have been selected as one the finalists teams in this competition. EHW 2023 would take place in Edinburgh, Scotland where our team has been invited to represent ourselves and IIT Delhi. The competition not only gives the teams a chance to present their work, but also is a ground for a variety of speaker sessions, student panel discussions, and technical creativity so that the future of transportation can be achieved soon!
It is a moment of much celebration for Infinity Hyperloop, as we were specially invited by the National Academy of Indian Railways to attend an exceptional conference in Gujarat. The club takes pride in announcing that it represented IIT Delhi among other renowned hyperloop associations and clubs that were invited for the same. This event was a highlight in a string of very successful events that we participated in and hence we share a glimpse of the enlightening and fruitful discussions that we had the opportunity to become a part of!
Tryst being IIT Delhi’s technical fest provides opportunity to associations like Infinity Hyperloop to showcase their creativity and share their technical works with loads of people. In Tryst 2023, our team successfully conducted two big events and a stall where like-minded people could discuss the Hyperloop project.
Infinity Hyperloop had its stall for the entire 3-day duration of Tryst. At this stall we showcased our Linear Induction Motor and glimpse of all the events and achievements made so far. A lot of people, professors, students (both college and school students), showed interest in our project and some in fact provided help and suggestions to motivate our work even further. This not only increased our family but also was a medium to spread awareness about the novel technology of Hyperloop.
BIB was a Hyperloop based model-making competition in which students were motivated to construct models related to Hyperloop subsystems both virtually and physically. The event was graced by Hyperloop giants, Mars Gueze and Pranay Lunia. Best entries were selected and the top 3 entry teams were awarded with cash prizes. The event was followed by multiple discussions and a fun Q&A which made the audience ponder upon the future possibilities of Hyperloop being the fifth mode of transportation.
Being a part of IHC (Indian Hyperloop Conference), Infinity Hyperloop in association with Vegapod MITWPU conducted Know the Loop event. This event involved participation and student panel discussions by various hyperloop teams across the nation. The guests and the teams discussed the technology thoroughly along with helping and guiding each other with technical knowledge. With a footfall of about 200 students and 6 hyperloop teams, the event was a huge success.
Just like all other clubs and associations in IIT Delhi, Infinity Hyperloop also conducted Fresher’s Orientation 2023. With the presence of about 300 freshers, the event was a success! The team showcased its creations along with presenting our motivation, vision and mission of this club. Many freshers were intrigued and showed enthusiasm by participating in the fun quizzing rounds of the event. This event turned out to be a place for finding a lot of like-minded people and technical enthusiasts!

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the 23 IITs created to be Centres of Excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India. Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance under the “Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963” and was renamed as “Indian Institute of Technology Delhi”. It was then accorded the status of a Deemed University with powers to decide its own academic policy, to conduct its own examinations, and to award its own degrees.
S Chand Group is a leading Indian education content provider company and the Platinum Sponsor of Infinity Hyperloop. Just like S Chand Group supports better education for all students by publishing thousands of books every year, S Chand Group has provided its unmatched support to our team and proudly made its contribution to revolutionizing transportation. We are grateful to S Chand Group for their unparalleled support.
